Grand Canyon Outpost Resort is a cowboy luxe resort in Valle, Arizona, 25 minutes from the South Rim, with themed stays for couples, families, and large group buyouts. The resort sits on the land of the original Grand Canyon Outpost — a historic trading post that sold western goods and Native American crafts to travelers headed to the canyon.

The resort sits in Valle, Arizona — at the intersection of US-180 and AZ-64, about 25 minutes south of the Grand Canyon South Rim entrance. Valle was recently renamed “Grand Canyon Junction,” so you may see the area listed under that name on newer maps. The mailing address uses Williams, AZ (zip 86046) because Valle does not have its own post office — but the resort is not in the town of Williams, which is a separate community 30 miles south.
Two are currently open: The Outpost (sleeps 12) and Kit Carson’s Quarters (sleeps 10). Both can be booked together as Grand Canyon Ranch, sleeping up to 22 guests. Four additional themed stays — the Shackin’ Up Shack, Love Shack, Caboose, and Hideout — open Summer 2027.
The Outpost is the original trading post building and sleeps up to 12. Kit Carson’s Quarters is the second house on the property and sleeps up to 10. Grand Canyon Ranch is what we call renting both houses together as a single buyout, sleeping up to 22 guests total.

A heated saltwater pool with a retractable glass dome, a stargazing observatory, and a western game room open Summer 2027.

The land was historically the original Grand Canyon Outpost — a trading post that sold western goods and Native American crafts to travelers headed to the canyon. The two houses on the property today still carry décor and artifacts from that history, preserved by a previous owner before Wish Tree took the land over.
Two life-size Hollywood cowboy mannequins — real props from western film productions, worth roughly $5,000 each — stand in The Outpost and Kit Carson’s Quarters. They came with the property and are part of its character. The brand frames them as “creepy cool. History you can stand next to.”
